Ripple Control Receivers

Ripple control system is a management system, enabling electricity consumption to be more evenly distributed across the grid (and so reduce costs). This effect is achieved by turning electrical devices on and off. The system is primarily designed for switching of electricity tarrifs  (high and low tariffs).

The control signal is transmited via the grid, using transmitters with range of tens (LV) to hundreds (HV) of kilometres. The number of receivers per transmitter is unlimited.

Versatile ZPA Smart Energy Ripple Control Receivers enable the system to be used in a variety of ways. Generally, the system can be used  to govern a group of devices in accordance with the agreed tariff rate (street lighting, turning devices on and off, remote lighting of traffic signs, time synchronisation of clocks in tariff equipment, lighting of historical buildings and monuments, Christmas or advertising lighting, lighting of shop windows, etc.). Other areas of use include compounds of electrical distribution plants.

ZPA Smart Energy also offers design of customized systems, driven by specific customer requirements. The customer can then use the system to turn on/off heating, air-conditioning, water heating, home appliances, etc. In industrial use, these systems also govern thermal processes (drying, heating, warming, etc.), cooling processes or dewatering/irrigating of agricultural land, as well as communal services. ZPA Smart Energy Ripple control systems can also be used to send alarms (e.g. silent alarm), to control of anti-aircraft sirens and give public warnings, to report fires, radiation or emergency situations or serve special purposes in nuclear power plants.
