ZPA Smart Energy’s newest series of three-phase and single-phase electrometers were fully developed by our large development team. It is possible to make a range of modifications and adjustments of individual products depending on the specific requirements of the customer.
Like the previous generation of products, these are electronic electrometers, but with a much more powerful microprocessor that enables, among other things, a larger number of memory registers. These registers provide the operator with enough data to make it possible to perform long-term analyses of energy grids, but also to record the behaviour of individual consumers and also identify unauthorised energy consumption. Further added value is possible by complementing the electrometers with additional modules. Through the utilisation of communication modules, it is possible to connect the electrometers into the reading systems and transfer data remotely.
The safety elements of these systems are critical, and for that reason, the electrometers are equipped with SW security consisting of multi-level system passwords. Through an analysis of the measured values, it is possible to detect the reversing of the energy flow, manipulation of the metering equipment, number of grid blackouts, etc. HW security then includes official marks, seals, coded connections inside the electrometer, a system that sends an alert when the instrument is connected poorly, protection against writing into the memory, and protection against register deletion.
The safety of the electrometers largely benefits from their connection to the system of data acquisition and remote reading that takes place in real time online. In ZPA Smart Energy, we primarily use the LonWorks® system.
